Jefferson County Public Library Selects Fransen Pittman Construction to Assist with Columbine Library Remodel

(Lakewood, Colo. – Oct. 20, 2016)  Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) announced today that it has selected Fransen Pittman Construction Co., Inc., to provide general contractor services for the 2017 Columbine Library remodel project.

Under terms of the contract, Fransen Pittman will assist JCPL with:

  • pre-construction cost estimates and value engineering
  • design and construction documents
  • project budgeting and scheduling
  • construction and general contractor services
  • quality control and assurance
  • cost control and reporting
  • commissioning, testing and start-up
  • occupancy Construction services
  • site clean-up and maintenance

“Fransen Pittman has developed a national reputation for building state-of-the-art libraries that meet the information needs of the 21st century while reflecting the unique characteristics of the communities they serve,” said Pam Nissler, executive director, JCPL. “They have built a number of ground-breaking libraries in Colorado, including the Eloise May and Southglenn libraries in Arapahoe County; Anythink’s Wright Farms, Bennett, Brighton and Huron libraries in Adams County; and the newly opened Castle Pines, Lone Tree and Parker Libraries in Douglas County. We believe their construction expertise, coupled with their commitment to cost-efficiency and sustainability, make them the perfect choice for this project.”

Fransen Pittman was selected through a competitive bidding process launched by the Library in September. Eleven firms responded to JCPL’s Request for Proposals; firms were evaluated based on price, ability to meet JCPL’s needs, experience and references.
