Jefferson County Library Foundation (JCLF) is raising funds for Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) programs and services through a Library Giving Day campaign. This one-day online fundraising event will occur on April 6, 2022, and will encourage patrons and library lovers across the nation to make a gift in support of their local libraries.

This year’s campaign reminds us that libraries, small and large, serve as a cornerstone for our communities and offer opportunities for growth for everyone. In addition to well-loved books (JCPL’s catalog offers over 750,000 titles both in physical library branches, the Bookmobile, and online), JCPL offers innovative programs that promote lifelong learning, provide early childhood programs and resources, connect patrons to technology, and advance knowledge.
This campaign coincides with National Library Week (April 3-9, 2022). The theme for National Library Week, “Connect to Your Library,” promotes the idea that libraries are places to get connected to technology by using broadband, computers, and other resources. Libraries also offer opportunities to connect with media, programs, ideas, and classes—in addition to books. Most importantly libraries also connect communities to each other.
JCLF Executive Director Jo Schantz shares, “We are thrilled to be participating in our fourth Library Giving Day. The support the Jeffco community showed JCPL last year was remarkable. We are grateful for our Jeffco community of library lovers and are proud to be able to contribute to help support the world-class programs and services that Jefferson County Public Library offers the community.”
